Meeting person of your Dreams West v/s East
Was reading this splendid book “The Dark Before the Dawn”. Came across its one entry that said, “Meeting person of your Dreams”. Wow! was my inner voice. Finally this book is going help me for mission “Search of soul-mate”.
After reading chapter ideas took totally new meaning. American approach towards relation was up in front of me. Views of Western-world about relationship shook some of my beliefs of being in relationship. Author has mentioned her experience’s in book. She gives amazing tip in topic “Meeting person of your Dreams”. Take my word, if you haven’t had worst in your relationship this might take you to it. I would leave it up-to you to read the book and find out. But yes, she says is to have list of person you want in your life. Show it to your to be, what you expect. Will leave you all with this thought for some lines.
In Eastern World, for which i have seen, being a relationship means lot. Things (world for individual) changes. Looking at a person behavioral change we can make out how is he/she is doing in their relationship. Actually person’s face becomes a report-card that shows how they have done in recent meetings. Just people who just don’t how to read a report-card, here are certain things that would help. Normal grades on report card are
Blush,
Smile,
Glow,
Shyness,
frown,
Completely Speechless,
Talkative and so on..
Each one of us is good at know this. Well in eastern world, preparation to meet <date> itself starts with, what will he/she like to see me wearing, and goes to minute details.
Me not sure which in better, Western or Eastern, but then is
- “Love is relationship of give and take”
- “Love is sacrifice”
- “Love is all you need”
- “Love fails, only when we fail to love”
I tried both the ways to get into a relationship started. The experience in both the scenarios were more horrifying then soothing.
One says “Love is Blind” and yes actually got blind to follow steps mentioned by Author. Believe me response i got was similar to One, Katrina (in Namaste London- BollyWood Flick) gave to the Boy (The analytical tech guy) her parents arranged for getting married. Added on, “Are you trying to write PRD (Project Requirement Document) or looking for life partner ?“.
Then i tried the more traditional way, he easterner type. The girl robbed me over 5-Grands in a year, in name of dates at Coffee shops, movies, dinner etc. The dates were good, Coffees were Hot, Movies were more cosy. But, unlike others i failed to read that Report-Card Face. I felt like Damn!! the charming girl (was still looking charming and pretty after robbed shows natural signs of inclination of love) could actually walk off like nothing happened. I actually tried reading this book “Women’s Realities, Women’s Choices - By Hunter College Women’s Studies Collective” to analyze my case. And reached an ultimate conclusion, you can never change women mind, until she is willing to change herself. And there we move On…
